I've recently become a big fan of Bethesda(played the shit out of New Vegas and Skyrim) and wanted to get some input on Oblivion and Morrowind which I have never played. Are they worth the money? Or should I just not bother?

both are worth the money, tho morrowind might be a bit hard to get into due to its old age

This, Morrowind is great as long as you aren't a freak about graphics

If you like Skyrim, for sure Oblivion would be well worth the money. It doesn't cost that much right now anyways.

The skills and how your character progresses is going to be different in those games compared to Skyrim, those are more true RPGs than Skyrim, Skyrim is more action oriented really.

I like Oblivion's world a lot better than Skyrim myself, and the questlines were more interesting imo.

Start with Oblivion, that is the only game that I thought was worth the $50 I paid. Morrowind on the other hand is slow, hard to look at compared to recent games and the first hour or so is pretty boring. I can't stand being as slow as I was in morrowind, so I chose to be born under the steed. Overall Oblivion and Morrowind are great games.

morrowind is absolutely the best as far as open world rpg goes. You do wtf you want and when your ready do the main quest. The graphics are superb for the its time and the story is pretty damned good as well.

Oblivion would be my second choice just because it is morrowind with better graphics and abit more thought put into the quest.

Morrowind has an insane graphics update, its a compilation of hundreds of fan texture packages put together, my computer cant even run morrowind on highest graphics anymore, but it runs skyrim on highest np.

It took me almost an entire day to figure out how to install it all properly.

I'm sorry, I forget the website I used to get it all. Do some research you will find it.
