Unless you have every single other weapon, I don't think you'll find someone running vet maelstrom for you multiple times for 1k fg. (even for experienced players its 35-45 minute investment per run)

Good thing is, that you can reconstruct it at any point with whatever trait you want after you collected it once (trait you get from chest doesnt matter you can reconstruct into any trait you have researched)

I suggest looking up heavy attack sorc build or nightblade heavy attack build, or at the very least collecting pale order ring and putting it on your character to receive constant heals, it really makes the maelstrom much easier (trivial if you take the time to learn mechanics/enemy priority)

If its still too hard for you, normal maelstrom arena lightining staff is like 95% as good as the perfected version. Get it from normal, gold it out (rosin is dirt cheap), and then run vet maelstrom like once or twice per week to not burn out.

5 years ago i did it and i got 2 staffs ICe and Restorations unluck

It's all curated drops now too, so you won't be getting weapons you have "collected" in your sticker book till you receive every single weapon that drops in VMA. So every run gives you better and better chance to get it.

I'd consider piloting this for you but is your account geared or do I need to also build a HA oakensorc to run it?

I'd want more than 1k fg though to possibly have to run this all day to get it to drop(depending on how many perfected maelstrom weapons you have yet) might take more than 1 day.
