Long story short I have not been able to play ranked on my account because of a glitch where my phone number is existing. I have taken this up with valve support and am still pending assistance.

that's gonna be a tough one to find, but couldn't you just change your phone number, at least sprint/tmobile lets you online free.
did it once cause spam phone calls daily, but just sent out a text to everyone saying thats my new #

Thats an option but id rather not go through the effort as I have a large contact list.
