For about 2 months now all of my unranked games have matched me with and against people who have never played dota before.
It makes it easy to get my compendium quests, but I'm not really having fun. Do you think this is a new matchmaking thing, or did I do something horrible in a past life?

I didn't start having this happen until recently.
Actually, it started almost exactly the time I started intentionally losing all my ranked games

valve insists the two ratings aren't related at all though

They just introduced a system that prioritizes teaming new players with players who don't get reported often and have been commended consistently. (there may be some other criteria, can't remember exactly, should be on their main site)

So the current system rewards players for getting reported?

these are my skywrath games since the matchmaking change. I shouldn't be doing this as a support every single game
