can someone explain me why I occasionally lose >30 mmr in team match making but only get 20-25/win when I group up with my mate?
im 3000 and he is 3900 if that helps

I've never seen more than 26 I think.

It goes up or down based on which team has higher mmr, so if your average mmr is higher than the enemy team you should theoretically have higher chance to win so you get less mmr if you do win where as they would gain more if they win.

Pretty sure that's how it works I watched a video from someone explaining the mmr system a few months ago it could of been good boy.
