I've got a 3k techies-only ranked account that I've been struggling with (I'm up to 3300 but climbing is very, very slow for obvious reasons)

Since 7.00 pretty much removed the obnoxious counterpicks of support zeus/abaddon, I no longer need to ban anything.
In ranked all-pick is it better to ban cores/carries I don't think my team knows how to play against or better to ban heroes I don't think my team can play? Or maybe not pick anything at all so my teammates have a higher chance of getting their ban picks?
Maybe my reasoning on all 3 is rude but 3k chen/3k invoker/3k io are almost as bad as 3k techies

Ur best of banning useless 20-30min afk farming/weak laning cores like am, pa, slark, morph etc, or badly nerfed mids like invoker, storm, od etc. If ur playing techies u want as strong of lanes as u can get so u dont end up defending hg for 1 hour. Getting heroes like magnus/ds in ur offlane is a suggestion u can make of ur teamates. It will make game ez if they are even half decent on them.

I agree. So many people pick pa, am, slark, spec and riki. They don't even look at the lineup to see if they will be able to get farm.
