so I have played Heroes of the Storm for 9 years since release....

I was thinking about starting to play DoTA2, however I am hesitant as I don't know the whole Item builds and I think it would be too difficult to learn about what Items to buy in-match




is there anyone who can give me some advice?

should I start playing DoTA2?

I have the skills from playing HoTS, so I won't have any Micro or Macro problems

Completely different games, no harm in giving dota a shot but about 1% of hots will transfer over. So don’t have too high of expectations, will be a lot to learn

Just play. enjoy the game. For the items could use Torte de Lini guides within the game or i think you can find them online as well to get you started.
Each hero has their core items and their roles ofc. Learn from that and expand or familiarize and optimize.
