Q1. Been playing with a few good people from JSP. Also the league has a few good people but most kids with high ranks are just people who play 1000s of games and get rating slowly but surely. Once you start playing games with top 10 rated people, they have played so much DotA they have at least learned how to build a team and how to buy courier and wards.
Q2. Not for me. Some people from USE complain about it though. The bot spikes sometimes really badly, but when its running smoothly its great.
Q3. You can make locks, just hope that highest rated guy isn't some retard who swaps you over to his team without swapping your friend. Normally people just AB and go though, so if you're locked you're good.
