Okay, is it just me or are 99% of my games full of Spanish-only speaking players? Um, what? (queuing for USEAST/WEST)
I'm still ~level 15 - does this get any better?

pick 2-3 heros u like, and practice them hard. u will win more and more in the process of learning them.
there harder and easier hereos.
a good indication is, when u look ingame, every hero is rated 1 to 3 stars for difficulty.
u need to decide which role, than pick 2-3 heros and spam them.

Well I've been trying to play a different hero whenever I can (limited by random or draft modes). My versatility is 9.xx while my other stats aside from support being less than 5.
I suck :/

Edit:
Why am I being queued against 3k+ mmr players so often in unranked while being level 16? FeelsBadMan....

any support hero. doesnt matter the meta, your so low in skill that you should just learn the game mechanics and will get better than your opponents.

i am a believer in randoming, but whatever is fine

If you're playing solo, you're being queued with 3k mmr players either because matchmaking thinks you're playing at their level or dota thinks they belong at yours.
It could also be the time of day you're playing at. When I queue at 5am for party games I get matched with smurfs playing their first or second game of dota.

your game impact can still be high if you play supports with a stun.
venge, witch doctor, wraith king, alch, sven, ogre

I queue with a 900 mmr player most nights so he gets matched with 4k players. He dies a ton but he is learning a lot more from the 4k opponents than he ever would from the 900s.
The learning curve is painful, but stick with it.

For sure, I have some easy games and a lot of tough games.

Let me just say, when you have bad teammates, the opponents snowball HARD. In just a few minutes, I'm just rendered useless in base awaiting my death as the enemy team takes out all t2 towers and push into t1 towers :/. I learned that if I try to go out to defend, they'll just dive me and kill me.
