Doing a SSF Druid run, summon as my main build with 1 point into werewolf and skills down to fury so I can attack shit while summons smash. Once I max out wolves I will put skills into werewolf and fury. Ravens and bear already maxed.

I’ve gotten lucky so far with finding Athena’s wrath and now Butchers Pupil. The +3 skills from Athena’s wrath is so nice with summons but deadly strike and open wounds on BP makes me hit harder.

If you were going to upgrade one to use long term, which one would you pick?

depends a bit on playstyle. go for the scythe if you want to do your summons to do the work. but if you want to participate yourself, definitely butchers. CB and OW adds single target dmg beyond your summons. also you can use a shield with butchers, which helps if you fight at the front line

I’d say butchers. Athena’s only advantage is the +skills, which can just be used on swap

Spending runes on upgrading might be worth not doing unless the 150-200% ed variable is closer to 200%.

But butcher's is one of the best 1-handed in the game as far as I've understood.

Wait, druids don’t lose stats on summons if they swap out +skill gear like necro?
