I have no gear and starting fresh hc with a friend what's the best starter build for early mid game then late game?

Fishymancer is probably the safest

I personally always choose a trapsin. Which is super safe and a lot faster than a fishymancer. She can farm pretty much anything with very little budget as long as you shop a lower res wand.

Hardcore is really only a race between the enemies and your finger to the escape key to save and exit before you die
