so i recently started playing melee builds, iv been having alot of fun with it. but as i was making my fury build i learned that druid fury builds dont benefit from off hand ias/fhr and they have terrible block no matter what you do. my question is is the assasin the same way? i wont be using a shield for block. im wanting to try putting a jmod on with ias jewels to maximize my attack speed.

im also open to other build ideas. this will be my first kick sin so i have no idea what im doing lol. i do want to stay away from the common build tho. i dont care if the items are budget friendly. im learning if you want a kick butt melee build you gotta have some deep pockets

They're pretty easy to balance. There's threads for breakpoints.

If you're gonna try a kicker, you need to decide if you want AoE damage (Area of Effect) or single target dmg. (Procs not included)
Then you have to decide if your kicker does Phys or other Ele Damage.
Then there's corpse explosion from Death Sentry, Blade Shield to proc your procs (Rift/Stormlash/Lacerator/LastWish), choosing which follower doesn't use mb and mess up your pvm experience.
You won't use venom cuz you're not an idiot. This is ladder tho, so giver a shot if you haven't before.
You know your ias breakpoints so you can use fade for the DR and you probably have a sockted Stormshield or a nice 3os Headhunter if you go Frozen Orb. (Rift)

Are you SURE you wanna try a kicksin if you stumbled on making a fury druid that you don't even have to aim??

im goin for a pvm build. with more of a single target attack. i dont want to use traps at all. and as for the damage type im really not sure. i like keeping everything physical but from what iv been reading is that sins cant use max dam/ ar charms so it sounds like in order to maximize my damage output im gonna have to use some elemental damage charms. i also read i dont want my martial arts skills above 24 or so to help prevent the kickblock crap sins do.

I've built a few. You don't want to skip on +1 in death sentry. That's all you need for traps. Try with it first before you try without it. Your playstyle won't lie to you.
The blade shield has to be recast so often, If you aren't procing Frozen orbs every kick volley, you may as well have built a druid and spend the whole run recasting.
Most of your damage will come from gear.
Make sure you google which mods affect kick damage. (DS, +dmg from grief/highlords etc dont work)
Your best bet for survival is literally walking the whole time (Press "R" button to disengage run so you actually block)

are you playing ladder? I have a mock kicksin setup you can have if you want, I wont use it.

ill give it a try. idk if ill end up using a shield at all. thinking about using a ribcracker. iv made a post with a few diffrent weapons/ armors for me to experiment and play around with. would a sin benefit from a phoenix shield or a a beast weapon?

All assassins use traps, regardless if pvm or pvp

not Phoenix that I know of. I've tried ribcracker, you have to remember that dr comes from fade and you might have to use a dr belt like string of ears for the life leech. I forget if ribcracker has that distinct Thwack sound when using kicks.
