So currently I have two sets of gear for my sorc and trying to see which is best:

1.) Full Tal set, SoJ, 35% Spirit, War Travs, FCR ring

2.) 3 Piece Tal (armor, neck, belt), Hoto, Shako, 35% Spirit, War Travs, SoJ, and FCR ring.

I have max resist with Tal set with just a couple SCs, but not with other build. Also want to change Shako to a Nightveil.

Which should I stick with for Blizzard sorc.

Keep shako, NV is bad

Veil because more damage > less damage

But MF is good tho. And Blizzard hardly needs extra dmg tbh

If you really think you have already enough damage (which can be true if you run certain bosses only), then you should sacrifice other slots for mf but not the +15cold.

Meph, Andy and Chaos go down fairly easy on P8. Only issue I have there is my merc keeps getting blasted by council because I haven't put a Ral in my Andy's helm. After CTA with charms I'm about 2.3k hp.
