i always thought that killing solo in 8 ppl game gave more exp per monster than when 8 ppl team killing togeather. im talking about EXP PER MONSTER and not taking killing speed into account.

today someone told me im wrong, that exp isnt shared.

which is correct?

After joining a party, whenever a character (or mercenary or pet) makes a kill, bonus experience is gained for every party member within 53 1/3 yard radius (commonly described as a little more than two 800x600 screen widths, which are 25 yards each) of the killer: when a mercenary or pet of a party member makes the kill, radius is measured from the player character to which they belong. Bonus experience is calculated as follows, then added to experience:

Bonus = [ abs( ( (party members - 1) * experience) * 87 [7]) / 256]

Essentially, experience since 1.11 is increased by ~34% or 87/256 for each additional member of a party in the same area.

However, after this party bonus is added, total experience is then shared between all party members within radius. Each character's share is determined by dividing total experience by the sum of the character levels of all party members within radius, then multiplying by that character's own level. For example, if eight players within radius are all the same level, each only receives ~1/8: this means that although each player normally receives more experience with a party than they would if they each played alone in separate games, a single player can receive more experience per kill by playing in the same game but without a party.

thanks never knew this much detail but it felt so wrong when he told me the opposite. i always exp in chaos alone in full baalrun games and my feeling is that is soooo much faster than 8 ppl baalrun.
