I mostly play on my own and don’t have friends to run cows or things to quick levelZ how do people go about getting grushed and stuff on console?

How? Either having or making friends online via playing the game and/or forums or discord chats; and having said friend have the ability and desire to GRush you.

Having said that, in order to GRush, a “bumper” is needed so that the lower lvl character can leech off of the party’s completion of quests (even the lvl restricted Q’s)


So if you don’t know anyone or aren’t willing (they are numerous friendly ppl online willing to help others for free) then you can be the “bumper” in the GRush equation. Just need a character at or around 40 (needs to be min lvl 40 once near the end of Nightmare tho) that hasn’t completed the the Q for Baal in Normal and 99.999% of the time, the “bumper” gets GRushed for free cause you’re allowing the lower lvl character to leech off of your quest progression.

Or you could also offer to pay someone to GRush you. Usually costs FG (not sure what the going price is) but more commonly the GRusher will take your Hell Forge Q drops (sometimes Nightmare Forge drop too) as compensation for GRushing you.

This website itself offers GRush as a service. Just gotta request it on the appropriate trade forum on this site.


Disregarding GRushing entirely, it’s not too difficult at all to lvl yourself just by playing the game and knowing which areas to run on repeat in relation to the lvl of your character.

Pretty much it’s something like this:

Lvl 1-15 progress they the game till you reach Tristram (saving Cain Q) and clear Trist entirely. Then just keep rerunning Trist on repeat until lvl 15

Lvl 15-25 progress all the way till the end of AII. Once you reach the kill Duriel Q, clear every single tomb. Once cleared, remake game and do it again lol. Keep doing this until lvl 25

This is where it suckssss if you play solo.

Typically you’d want to join a Cow run game from lvl 25-29 (then do Ancients Q in Act V for the guaranteed lvl up to 30. Then run Baal games till AT LEAST lvl 40 (I usually do mid 40’s to low 50’s pending in my chara build and how prepared my gear setup is for Nightmare)

But if you play solo this is hard af to do. Pretty much lvl 25 begin Act III and do your best to get to the end of Act V.

If you have a strong build then run all the way to Trav and just kill Council over and over. Quick, somewhat easy and great exp from council members.

This will get you a few quick lvl ups cause Act IV can be a bitch. And this will allow you to get close to or above lvl 30 which is when most builds get their strongest skills that will help greatly in AIV. If you can get to the Chaos Sanctuary in Act IV then you can run that over and over (Diablo too if you can manage to kill him quick and easy. Only certain builds with great low lvl gear can achieve this). Then walk your way to the Throne (last Q of AV) and just run Baal’s minion waves over and over for great exp. the 4th (those lord things that spit fire and the dragon/dino demons will give you great experience all the way into your 40’s. If playing in a full game then the dino waves can give you good exp all the way into your 50’s!! But typically you’d only stay to continue to play with some other ppl till they’re good for Nightmare. Usually you’d move into NM once you’re somewhere in the 40’s)


Also this solo method is typically only designed for a handful of builds with high dmg and/or great AoE

Such as Fireball Sorc, Flame Trapsin, and Holy Fire Zealot.

Hdins, Barb Zerkers or WWs are top tier builds too but they would need GG low lvl gear to be able to efficiently exp grind at a decent pace.


But it CAN be done with any build. Just some are faster than others. Usually much faster lol. So it’s advised to start a character as one of the few OP builds for Normal lvling and progression then respec later in mid-late NM or Hell.

Otherwise if you enjoy playing alone switch to single player and you can make the game a players 8 game to get massive xp

To expand on this a little:

From 15 to 20, depending on how strong you are, sewers until lvl 17-18 and then arcane sanctuary until lvl 20.

If your doing cows, I’d recommend you get to lvl 21 in tomb before doing cows. If not, just run tomb until 25 and focus on big packs and uniques only

I’d then recommend council, shenk and the other unique at that WP until 30 and then ancients way or worldstone keep until you can safely and efficiently run throne. This has been the best way for me but I play hardcore so it may be more worthwhile for softcore to push your limits.
