Disclaimer : I know grief and other op rw are way better than my simple stuff, but I don't have nor want them
I am currently playing a paladin in hc, on d2 resurrected,

Everything goes fine, I used passion on switch (from my Schaefer's main) to kill immunes. It did the job, as the block was saving me from the 0 def consequences.

Then after reading posts I tried sanctuary, and its absolutely insane, just by putting one point in it (3 points before mandatory , one hard point in which resulted as lvl 9) I was able to destroy undead the regular way, with leech, at the cost of my fanaticism aura.
Then someone traded me an almost perfect azurewrath , an item I always wanted to play. Next lvl I am 85.
According to d2 ias calculator, the build in 30% attack speed of this phase blade, along with my lvl 29 fana, and my 20% from highlord's is way more than needed to reach the last breakpoint, but I read somewhere the max as breakpoint are broken in d2r.
The azure got a Shael socketed in already.
Should I let it ? or replace with , for example, 14 max 1-79 lightning dmg I found ?
The only good part of passion vs sanctuary aura was the fact I was able to destroy non ud physical immune, which will be harder now, without zerk, I will rely on the elemental and magical dmg of azure, along with fana zeal to spam them very fast.
How to socket that lil sword in my case ? of course I keep Schaefer's in main switch, this weapon is absolutely a blast for me, for 5fg lol, static is so freaking handy, along with the wtf attack rating and all other insane mods.

New IAS calculator for D2R there are more, but that works well AFAIK.

You can check there if you can reach new breakpoints and if shael is the right call or not.

Was wondering, is it useful to go over 90 all res ?
I will 4 points when I hit 85, because I will get ride of sanctuary, provided by azure, would it be useful to put them in light res, to gain 91 in it ? or I just put it in def, but I have 22k already with holy shield and perfect upped ga.

the last % are better than the first.

take 98% vs 99% for example (impossible without mods), then 1 additional point HALFS the damage.

90% vs 92% is the same, just smaller.

But to be honest, 90% is enough, I would focus more on stacking LR vs conviction souls

Thanks, on regular hc bnet , the max is 95 I believe, I was planning to do it for light only. But I guess I will put points in def if 90 is enough. I am only a2 atm in hell and elements seems harmless @90. Didn’t test soul already

90 res is awesome and op, no need higher

Thanks a lot. I play since years and years, but I am nowhere as experienced as the regular d2 fan player. This zealot is my most successful char ever, despite I have only 1500 hp, with 22k armor , 75% block, and 90 all res, I feel like I am invincible, which is really a bad thing in hc, because I lower my attention. Paladin has answer for absolutely every situation :
- conviction aura boss ? I switch my aura to all res, and stay at 90 @ll
- Fana + might archers pack ? I switch to defense aura then I have 30k+ , and I switch to walking, to keep the 75% while moving, then me and my Merc charge (instant gap closer) in and destroy them all by pure tanking
- Amped ? cleansing, lower duration by 80%+
- undead Ip ? switch to second weapon set with azure to get sanctuary which is one of the most op situational thing, ghosts are so harmless suddenly, with the kb which interrupt even charge
Damn paladin, my frenzy barb with his 4500 hp seems weak compared Oo

Even the Ar (10k+) is insane, wtf class. For a melee lover its a shock to realize just now how strong the paladin can be with only regular items, I can't imagine how strong he could be with high rws, but I wonder if there is something really stronger than Upped ga ( 1500+ def 90 all res , saves you 40 dext for block, wtf armor ?) in hc.

Next step is uber tristram once I hit 90.

I guess paladin smiter is the best choice for it in hc , or there is better class ?
Also , don't want to rely on bo to do it, I wonder if some does hc uber tristram without any bo ?
The new ias calculator says I am already at the best frame breakpoint with the 30% ias of azure and my lvl 30 fana alone, even the 20% from highlords are not necessary.
I was about to "hel" it, I know it seems ridiculous, but this 27 dext saved to wear it, could go into vitae instead, as I only need 110 dext to block at 75% thanks to the 20% op increased block chances of Ga and my attack rating is already insane.
