dire wolf ( do they do alot of damage?)

grizzly bear's hp bonus only comes from dire wolf so I would advise that you only invest 1 point on bear, rest on dire wolf.

This unless you want the bear to do damage and resummon it more often then put 20 grizzly.

hardly advised since the bear will die instantly at any point past mid Nightmare difficulty, but you are correct

^ This right here ^

I'm running a 100% pure Summoning Druid and this is the info I have from running that chara.

At max, Grizz is gonna do about 1kish+ dmg but will literally die in seconds once you get into late NM (not to mention Hell difficulty) since it will only have about the same amount of health as dmg (actually it'll be a little less lol). But if you do what @guw mentioned then it will have around 4kish+ health but will do hardly any dmg.

Considering that you will prob have some +Druid/All skills, then the ideal route would be to max Dire Wolves and put a single hard point into Grizz. This will result in about 4.5k min for health for Yogi Bear.

Plus, your build doesn't rely on your summons to do dmg like my character, but it is super helpful to have another bulky target to help alleviate mobs targeting you and your merc since a fury druid is gonna be the powerhouse of the group.

Druid skill tree is unique in that even softpoints (i.e points that come from this +2 druid skills) also boost the synergy of the minion skill.

With this in mind, you don't need to really max Dire Wolves to boost the HP of your Grizzly because with even +4 or 5 to skills it will be tanky enough. So it is better to max Grizzly to really make the most of the damage bonus he gives himself. OR simply max your oak sage and be super tanky :)
