I've always been a fan of just running Meph over and over. Maybe if you can make virgin games with another character, you can do Andy/Meph.

Ancient tunnels is nice but I feel like you're better off just running meph more.

Andy and meph are good to get the commond good uniques (shako, hoz, occy, soj...) but they are terrible for runes and can't give the best items or bases (griffon, death's fathom or even tal or IK armor whith are popular) so at some point you need to move to A85 or dia/baal runs.

If your are thinking about making fg, it's the same, shako is expensive the first two weeks, then the only thing valuable from those two is SoJ.

It really depends on what you're playing. That determines where I farm for most part. If I'm on a frenzy barb, I'll start in The Pit(drops high ilvl stuff), go to Trav, then go to Frigid WP for Eldritch and Shenk. If I'm on a cold sorc I'll go do tunnels.

If you want to really find stuff, do this in a full game if your character is strong enough. The best farming I've ever done is solo cows in 8 player duel game.(hide the portal)

Yeah for FG pretty much. I feel like with andy/meph you make more money by finding random uniques, ie storm, shako, boots and belts than trying to run for runes or pits/tuns. I understand you can't find anything godly from andy/meph but you also won't run 100 times with zero loot.



TBH I'm interested in any class. I make cold sorcs because I feel like running meph is the best choice for consistent stream of income. I'd run something else if it was different.

I ran tuns hundreds and hundreds of times so far and haven't found anything better than goldwrap from it with 300+ mf. I understand you gotta run it like thousands of times but sheesh.



What do you solo cows with?

It's not really feasible to find 8 player games in hardcore though.

Almost correct.

Actually end bosses have the BEST chances to drop you runes-Although they are alone, only one monster, so surely you don't run them for runes. A cow may have 5 times less chance to drop you a ber, but you kill 400 of them, so...

But strickly by odds best is act bosses

Well, yes, that is why they are terrible for rune hunting, the odds may be good, but by the time you kill mephisto you killed 50 cows if not 200.

I wasn't talking about their actual odds per se.
