I'm just running a single player blizzard sorc.
I'm finding it hard to deck out my mercenary enough to kill the cold immunes, what are some of your go-to runewords or spots to find elite polearms?

Another note, as a cold sorc I've noticed I should stay away from act 5 in general.
Last night I saw that lower kurast runs are a thing so I tried those and it went pretty well.

I just can't seem to find any runes higher than an Um rune, I feel like it's been this way my entire life lol. I still don't think I've ever found a legit Ber or Jah in my life T_T

Feel bad for you, ive found um plenty of times and BER and JAH even sur once. I believe you just gotta roam around in different locations like in the frost caves in act 5.
It just suddenly happens from a slump. But if you roam same runs all day long you might never get what you wish for.

Honestly, I wonder if it's because my MF runs consist of killing Andy, Meph, try and do most of Trav, lower kurast, and then I switch to players 1 for diablo lol

Update: I found another Um rune lol.
This time it was off andy players 8

I tried to change it up with a FB sorc and that thing is trash compared to blizzard it seems

when its one merc against a mob of immunes, i like to use something like face of horror normal unique mask, to make monsters flee, making it easier for the merc. any elite ethereal polearm runeword is good, but even a non ethereal obedience weapon is a real merc trophy.

Run hell cows with zero mf, you will find an eth elite polearm.

Insight amd obedience are both fine to use until you get infinity.

As a blizzard sorc you need to pick your locations carefully. I recommend adding mausoleum and ancient tunnels to your run because there are very few cold immunes and you can just tele around killing boss packs. If you do mausoleum, ancient tunnel, mephisto, LK runs you will find some goodies eventually

I like this idea a lot, does the flee work on special monsters and not just the minions as well?



Funny you mention this, I was starting to think that the less the MF I had, the better the drops would be. Around 200% I was finding trash, now that I stripped everything and have under 100 I find much better items and the elite versions of them more often.
Can we make those runewords on single player? I'm just running the original single player with no mods at all, I've seen folks with bigger stashes and ladder only rune words but I'm trying to keep it legit



Mausoleum, is that where blood raven is?
Also not familiar with the ancient tunnels to be honest.

yes, blood raven is near mausoleum. ancient tunnels is located in lost city.

Static + insight or obedience should work just fine.
