I’ve always done lightning from beginning till end. Maybe psn is strong first half. You do need some points into lightning fury to start getting good.

Good question. Probably lvl 30 for light fury and cs

I usually swap around level 25 when poison starts to fall off in effectiveness.

thx for answers.
Why 24-25?
you unlock cs at 18 and then until 30 you're not getting lf.
Wouldn't be 30 the soft spot?
I'm making a test and around level 20 in a3 I one tap plague most monster, dmg is still scaling more than decently
I struggled a lot more before, with just poison javelin it felt so clunky and slow, kinda bad aoe

then after reskill is there a better order to follow? Do you have a recommended progression?
I think you go half cs half lf to handle both packs and single target
Also, valky should pop in at some point I think, it's a waste to stat it early (30-40) and lose some 4-5 points in damage skills?

If you're still one shotting everything with poison javs in act 4 and beyond then stay poison. Its been a couple years since I did a zon playthrough, I just remember poison feeling really weak at some point then I went all in on charged strike and everything was great again.

My progression was something like

Go all in on charged strike until lightning fury
Go all in to lightning fury, putting every other spare point you can into pierce until it hits level 7ish

Once you have lightning fury and charged strike maxed, put either a point into valk or max valk (depends entirely on preference). You can have the shittiest gear and solo hell with maxed valk. I have also done it with maxed decoy. Theres nothing stopping you from just putting a point into valk and going balls deep in the lightning jav tree either.

If you havent found decent javs, put a point into guided arrow and use the biggest bow you can find on swap for immunes. With titans, jab is enough for immunes. Without titans, say you found a buriza or something, that one point guided will help out.

Dump the rest of points into charged strike synergies with maybe a couple points into decoy if you're really into valk

ok thx, seems fair.
I think I'll swap at some point to light and go that way. I think I'm not heavy investing on valky I think, not being hc I can drop some safety for a better clear speed

This isnt really related but it is a somewhat popular untwinked build.

I tried the old nightfish build of maxed freezing arrow, cold arrow, lightning fury and charged strike before. Some people seem to like it but I always felt like every time I swapped away from shield I died too easily. Honestly I just keep farming until I get titans, up the titans, then go for some slight melee optimization (might aura, max block for attack rating and tankiness, laying of hands sometimes) and just jab lightning immunes to death.

The fishyzon build looks really good on paper but focusing on plus skills to the detriment of everything else is somewhat counterproductive for a javazon, since lightning fury is pretty damn strong even without plus skills and the damage on the lightning jav skills responds well to slight melee optimization like attack rating, leech, and IAS. You can solo hell cows with maxed lightning fury and maxed pierce on a naked javazon with zero points in anything else, as points into pierce give more lightning fury damage than the synergies do by a long shot. Razortail is a core item on a poor javazon for that reason, 70% pierce is like 370% more lightning fury damage. 100% is 500% more lightning fury damage.

1 point guided arrow and whatever elite bow you can find usually gives you like 600 damage which isnt great but guided arrow doesnt miss and it's a lot less than the 40ish points you need to max the freezing arrow route. Even an Edge bow gives like 350 ED to demons and 280 to undead, so usually enough to get the job done. Saves a ton of skills for a tank or just more lightning damage.

If you dont like dodge skills, a couple points into decoy isnt a terrible idea either and it will keep a good amount of heat off the merc. Decoy makes for a decent panic button, monsters are dumb and they will go for the decoy every time.
