hi all

i need help prioritizing stats for PvM bowzon

i want to maximize strife so i can fly through hell with it

is faith going to provide better results than a windforce if i use a faith bow merc?
whats the right gear for maximizing crushing blow and deadly strike while maintaining high IAS?


if anybody has some answers or links to other discussions, or other already highly successful builds, please link ^^.

Personally i had lots of success with this build, it is based on Hardcore PvM.

Kira's Guardian, rune of choice, Um rune gives even more resists
Faith GMB
Fortitude
Atma's Scarab
Laying of Hands set gloves
Razortail
War Travelers
Dual leech rare ring, as good as you can get
Wisp Projector, using Heart of Wolverine

+10-14 Max Damage Grand Charms
Any helpful modifiers of choice on the Small Charms


Max Strafe, use Strafe always
Max Valkyrie
Max Critical Strike
Enough points in Pierce to reach 100% Pierce with the 33% from Razortail
The rest to spend as you wish


Ignore Target's Defense + Pierce + 5% Ctc Amplify Damage + 100% Pierce will have it proc very often, doubling, or when Critical Strike triggers, quadrupling your damage.


If you can afford it, Merc:

Pride runeword
Fortitude or Treachery
Life Leech helmet; Vampire's Gaze, Andariel's Face, Stealskull are examples


There may be different options in Softcore that are better. This is for Hardcore.

solid info, ty. i could see subbing out the Kiras on softcore. maxing valk worth it in SC do you think?

slvl 27 Valk means spawning with Elite items making it a better tank and dealing damage.

It is worth it.

My setup is slightly different:

Andys visage (+2 skill / Life leech / pref perfect str and 20% ias... so add 15% ias jewel preferably with Fire Res) = 35% ias
Windforce (Knockback / Mana Leech and socketed with Shael) = 40% ias
Laying of Hands (damage to demons / fire res) = 20% ias
... 95% ias breakpoint for strafe on B.net is sufficient ... Mana & Life leech with Knockback just from 3 items.

Fortitude
Razortail
Atmas Scarab
Rare/Crafted rings with 17+ Strength an any res mods
Raven frost just for the AR / Dex
War Travellers

Merc Might
Pride
Fort
Andys

When playing online and using Strafe with maximum IAS with Faith, 2-3 arrows out of Strafe volley are ignored because of frame speed being too fast. If playing SP, 1 arrow is ignored.

You can play using Faith on your character or Rogue wielding Faith... your choice based on your play style.

Skill level 9 Pierce + Razortail = 102% Pierce. Only add enough points with the + Skill items you are holding:

Anni / Torch = 4, +Andys = 6 and Windforce? think +2 = 8 so 1 base point = 9 skill points to pierce.
