I've played every single char at Full build except barb...!

So... I figure I should give it a shot.

Not interested in pvp yet.. just pvm for now. What is strong and what is fun?

For clearing areas, whirlwind with dual grief phaseblades.

For killing bosses, probably still whirlwind although I do like berserk. Pitzerker is also fastest magicfinder in the game supposedly.

For fun, general ability to do anything although a bit slower, and uber tristram, frenzy barb.

I do enjoy all barb builds though, they are fun.

Your question of "What is Strong" and "What is Fun" is fundamentally based on your Play Style.

Even though I don't like either Frenzy or WW barb, they can be more fun compared to Berserk Barb.

No, I won't go into Warcry or Throw barb as they are both reliant on items.

Okay, you can build a Frenzy / WW or Berserk barb for Goldfind &/or Magic Find with reasonable results.

Again gear dependent... I personally (personally) believe that a Berserk barb has the BEST results for hunting items as long as it is built with the Barb skill "Find Item" after Shout/Howl/BO etc.

Basically a berserk barb Howls mobs and only kills Champions + and horcks their bodies for extra chance of drops. {MF & GF% applies with horcking)

A frenzy barb will use damage weapons as main and switch to MF &/or GF weapons when dealing the final blow.

WW barb normally has 1 base point Berserk, but can NOT identify when to switch from Damage to MF &/or GF items when killing.


Basically... be a little bit more precise in your definition of what you want to achieve with a barb build. My personal opinion, Dble Swing if a great skill to use in Normal / Nightmare before considering to respec... don't go above skill level 10 though, store up points or use them for Find Item or things like Natural Res... note, depending on the gear you have.

I also enjoy zealbarb and wolfbarb although they are not pure barb builds.

Conc barb is alright for hardcore but extremely slow. Can also do uber tristram and is a fine nilathak runner. Since it is uninterruptible you can go max block for even more safety.

Hmm, you are aware that a 1 base point conc barb skill used with a Berserker barb is MORE than enough?

Conc barbs are actually obsolete (damn, I actually posted something to make me look arrogant)

Okay... take a look at the Berserk Barb skills and applying the BO features of a barb. Now, look at the skill Concentrate and where the damage increases based on the Synergy Skill %... You see what is happening here?... 1 base point Conc with max damage from TWO synergy's etc.

1 point conc is enough but I figured I'd point it out.

Leap (GF)?
Berserk?

Hey, I guess it is the same when people post 1 point Berserk for a WW or Frenzy build

Or is it totally based on BO Barb????

EDIT: Oh wait... Berserk skill is the ONLY barb skill that adds MAGICAL damage to Conc... dang.

The easiest barb to beat the game on pvm is a singer barb. Its also lots of fun and very safe.

On single player with p8? No way it's easy.
