I want to level a new character up in single player.

I have ALWAYS been a battlenet player, and pretty much used JSP since it started. So its always been fairly easy to trade/buy items. I almost ALWAYS get my characters some GG leveling gear.. but i want to try the game for what it is itself... 100% self leveled and 100% self made.

What are some of the more fun classes to do 100% solo?

Main concern is mana....

Definitely like playing on /players 8 or as high as my character will go.

Currently have a lvl 20 martial arts assassin (like the only skill set ive never actually played) and not sure im loving it yet.

Open to all suggestions!

mana is only a problem til insight. there are ways for you to enable ladder runewords on single player.

I also suggest playing at players setting 5-8 great exp rates and drops.

as for the character I think they all can be fun. My first Guardian was a java zon. Was a tough grind for infinity but it was so much fun all the way through.
Sorc is great for obvious reasons. Pally is also very fun and can clear a lot. Druid as stated above. Trap sin is great can clear a lot. Summon necro or pnb necro are good.
Bowa zon is great fun as well.

Amazon.

Start out as a Bowazon for Freezing Arrow, don't max FA, just get 10 points first and max out the synergy that increases cold damage because FA is a mana Guzzler.

To counter the mana issue here, I like to use Strafe with Knockback (safer) and leech mana back with an item.

You can use cold damage charms in your inventory to increase the freeze length and add cold damage to strafe attacks until you get some dmg/ar charms... I also use Stat charms... like +3 strength large charms (easy to use early levels) and switch them for higher ones at higher levels.

I did a run here like 8 years ago (not really a WT, but was fun testing), was able to kill DClone with this bowazon and pretty much budget gear... and that character is not dead, just getting dusty because I haven't used her since then.

Note: Images are no longer on *** since I forgot login and password years ago:

If you get the gear for a Javazon, then you can respec when you are ready.

EDIT: I read my WT from 8 years ago... was actually a great achievement since I only mf'd when I found it hard to kill Hell Ancients ... fun nostalgia.

100% fun classes are what you think are best. I definitely recommend looking at people’s wts (you can check out a few of mine in my profile - some have broken pic links now though :( )

Mana isn’t an issue as long as you chug pots. You’ll get used to actually using them instead of rushing to insight use.
