I believe I'm right in saying a great poleaxe (eth of course) will offer highest DPS, assuming combined with Treachery and Andariel's Visage.

If merc's other gear has less IAS maybe different. This thread is quite insightful (pun definitely intended)

I'd generally suggest Reaper's Toll over Insight on a hammerdin merc, though.
