im thinking about making a new diablo2 account from all the hype around the diablo 2 resurrection. Are there more players coming back?

Short answer is yes, I'm seeing new faces on the trading grounds looking for MF chars to refamiliarize before D2 Res ever since they announced

Do you have to start all over again and make new chars/accounts or can you use your old battlenet accounts and transfer them to the resurrection?
