Could not wait for the remaster. It is a disease...

Anyway, thought I was going to do a casual PVM StrafeZon, but could not handle the slow temp so went for soso.

I do want an ES soso. I am thinking Fireball/ES.

Can you tell me how well will I handle PVM with Fireball/ES. I know that in general cold/light sosos fair better. Any suggestions? I would also love to hear some out of the box build suggestions - I am a soso fan through and through and would consider anything xD

Thanks a lot in advance for the attention! :)

While I never had a Sorceress myself, I had access to some of the best Energy Shield Sorceresses in Diablo 2 approximately 10 years ago.

That being said, while Energy Shield is good for PvP, it blows in PvM. Poison is everywhere, and it will eat through your HP quickly.

You're much better off going vita or vita and block if that's your thing.

Infinity Sorceresses are one of the cheapest and most effective Sorceresses in PvM.

Thanks for the quick response! I just like the idea of building around mana instead of health. Feels more "Sorceress-like".

I like the infinity idea as well, though the lack of cast rate may be an issue ( unless you mean Infinity on merc of course ).

I will keep it in mind and go for poison resist/length reduced if I go ES. Didn't think of that tbh. Thanks!

A Lite Sorc wearing infinity tears up monsters and allows your merc to use a BotD War Pike (which will practically never die).

I will try it. Though, without cast speed and any block, I will be an easy prey for say, the undead puppets. As for the merc, with a good armour and some life steal, they are pretty hard to kill anyway. But I did always want to try BotD on merc.

1hit from a mana burn mob and your mana and is gone, since its bugged and destroys 256x the mana it should.
So ES is a bad choice for pvm, even though it makes tanking non-manaburners safer.

FB is also bad cuz there are alot unbreakable fire immunes, whuch leaves you with your merc dealing with them or killing them really slowly with a potentially bad fo.
So FB is also a bad option for pvm.

Pvm builds:
Fo/fb hybrid, infi merc
Light, infi merc
Blizz, ereapers merc

Pfft. I'm just tired of those builds man - I've done them countless times. But, in the end, you are right. Sooner or later, ES will not feel as powerful PVM and I will be forced to go back.

If I go Light/ES, I will also feel significant decrease in DMG, I guess it is possible to make an ES hybrid with only 6 points(assuming I have at least +10 to all from my gear ) in Telekinesis and a Memory. With 16 pts in Telekinesis, the conversion rate of ES is 1:1. 11 pts in ES=61 percent absorb rate. I really wanted to get a point in Enchant for my merc ( not that he will need it ), but prolly won't have enough pts, unless I am willing to sacrifice the deeps. A Enchant Memory would help.

One downside that I do not like is the weapon swap with bo/spirit every time ES is cast. Those few seconds are a pain.

I wish I had the time and FG to make a Passion/Zeal sorc. ( I know I know not an optimal build by any criteria, but you must admit it should be fun )

Anyway, thanks a lot for the input ppl :) I appreciate it.

only hard points work for synergies. so your +10 will not boost your telekinesis..........
