Hey guys, asking for some assistance from the professionals. I finally got my barb to LK, he was WC up until Hell then I switched to Zerk, farmed NM Meph until I found bone snap and then slowly pushed up to LK, started farming today and found 2 ber runes in less than an hour O.O unreal RNG, so now that i'm getting close to Enigma, I need to know what you guys would recommend for HC, from what I've found Pit Zerker is a very risky play, how risky is very risky? Whereas the Pit Singer has almost the same efficiency but is limited to basically pits and /p1.. Just want some feedback / arguments each way to decide. I still have my hell stat reset and I'm going to farm meph in hell to get Shaggo / Travs / Chancies / Goldwrap (still deciding on gear ect) but I will farm Meph for that before I go to the pits and I will still obviously have to farm enough for Enigma / Grief or Hoto or w/e way we end up going. I know it's going to be a long journey but I want to make the right decision as well. xD Any help / thoughts would be apprecaited.

I don’t think Zerk is as risky as some people believe.

You have to frequently use howl to disperse groups and only zerk the unique/champs. It’s also probably the best option for boss farming as a Barb.

I'd imagine because it leaves your toon with 0 defense for the duration of your attacks, you can't leech from Berserk, and if you're not using a shield it kinda leaves you wide open. However with Howl, not to mention barb's innate large health pool and native BO, there's plenty of safety net.

You can go Grief + Stormshield to be safer, I'm interested in dual wielding with a Beast axe on the offhand and eDeath as main weapon. I've not tried it, but I've got a lvl95 barb on single player (originally Double Throw) that's going to convert to this setup once I find another Arach to hit that 105FCR breakpoint I'll let you know how it goes when it happens!

Sorry to double post, I got impatient, went ahead and converted to telezerker with the build I mentioned above. Making do with 75FCR (on HotO side) until I can find Arach and a decent FCR ring.

Building mine too on my holy grail plugy but he s far from being on the level of Mukhalif's one.
On a budget version if you don't have stormshield you can go for rhyme on a pavise / tower shield
I'm using an Oath too, before the day I can make a grief.
I would not go for shako but that's just about the style. Prefer Gulli / Arreat

To be less risky don't forget to have some frw and toggle off Run while fighting in packs but I guess it s more efficient when you have enigma so you don't care about toggle on/off and your max block stay maxed

Yeah Oath is a great alternative until more high runes show up.

With IAS from gear, the build I showed hits the max 9FPA, and has 100% CB and 100% DS. Don't know if Grief phaseblade would still beat that, its average damage output would be better of course, but a bit less deadly strike (85%) and way less crushing blow (50%). If I can get another respec token and a 5os phaseblade I'll compare

What do you think about botd ? Too "expensive" and less efficient?

I think I'm going to go with a WC barb for my Grail farming tbh... We will see though.

Grief PB will be superior - there are very few melee builds where BotD outshines Grief Plus yeah getting a Zod on single player is no small feat!
