I thought it was time to start a new WT. My first WT was a Plugy one, the next was non-Plugy with Ladder RWs, after that I only did standard D2 LoD WTs without Ladder Runewords. So I tried to follow the path back to the grass roots of Diablo II.
So now it seems only natural to me to dip again into classic D2 after freaking 20 years

I am sure it is going to be a whole new experience. No runes, no jewels, no socket-Qs, mercenaries are pretty much useless I guess - and standard set items will give worthy bonuses.

Pretty pumped up, I present to you: Antares, a boring hamerdin without Shako. But maybe Biggin's Bonnet. We'll see

Also there are no socketed armors at all, no socket qs ofc, only normal grade uniques/sets (and not even all of them!)

Looking forward to following this one! Once you finish up with hell D/any other goals I wouldn’t mind meeting up with Gimli for a few Cs runs

Classic is easier in terms of monster HP, right? You can really feel how they changed monster dmg and HP from Classic to LoD.
Lesson learned: I had forgotten that in Classic you cannot equip your merc. That sucked, since I was hyped to get some help.

Speaking of getting rip'd. This pack was the worst and I am in Normal
Took me 10-15 minutes to clear this passing since I had to kite and focus 1 by 1.

First notable drop: Arctic belt.
