How much attack rating is needed for PVM in Hell Expansion?

Is 2k AR enough? Or do we need something in the 6k AR range to be effective?

What is more important, AR or Damage, if we have to pick one?

Id aim for 8k ar at least. I used blessed aim merc over might for the longest time.

After I did more analysis, it seems it depends what skill you use.

For skill that add little to damage (such as low skill point zeal), might aura seems better than blessed aim when it increase your damage by 66% whereas blessed aim only increase your hit chance by 20%.

It seems I forgot there is a skill called enchant, I have switched to might merc and use enchant (instead of blessed aim) to increase my AR to 6k

I meant my hit chance is around 65%, 20% more is only 85% hit.

0.65*1.66 > 0.85*1

But if my hit chance is only 20%, then a 20% increase in chance to hit would make more sense

0.2*1.66 < 0.5*1

Also depends if u use "ignore target defense" or "-x% target defense"

If I cannot change my weapon, is there a way to get "-x% target defense" ?

put eth rune in weapon

or you can just use angelic combo

later on you will just use grief anyway

Use a chant stick like demon limb.

I would aim for 10k. Demon limb is surely a great suggestion.

Ignore target defence is against white mobs.

10k+ is ideal
