Would it be "viable" to play a maxed Sacrifice paladin with 2nd skill being Conversion?

I imagine it would deal sick portion of damage to myself somewhere in Hell (8% of damage dealt) but I wonder:
- does life per hit reduce the life lost per sacrifice hit?

I’ve always wanted to try this build especially as of late but thanks to coronavirus, I’m having to play catch up with my business.

However, I would only have time to play 1h a day during the week as I work 11h mon-fri
Thinking about trying it out but I don't know what to plan build wise

Personally I would just treat it like a zealot, with fanaticism, sacrifice, redemption, and holy shield, then see how much leech you can rack up until you can get your hands on Drac’s or Exile. They’d be a nice thematic fit, anyway.

Each difficulty will have a different formula:

Normal: 100% Life Leech
Nightmare: 50% Life Leech
Hell: 33% Life Leech

So if whatever 8% of the damage is equal to the amount of life leech% vs physical damage you do, yes they’ll cancel out, if the enemy has 100% drain effectiveness.

And there are plenty that do not have 100 drain effectiveness.

If an enemy has less than 100 drain effectiveness, you'll leech less.

I don’t believe so. I recall seeing a few different people post a sacrifice din WT but to my knowledge, one hasn’t been completed.

It sounds cool and a nice change from a zealer, I'd say go for it

What character level and difficulty?
