So I'm starting a walkthrough with a barbarian for some good old nostalgia and I just quest bugged andariel while I killed her on p8.
I'm now wondering when I farm her, should I always put p8 or is the drops same on p1? :)

p8 increases difficulty but also drops
check drop calculator for better insight
i suggest always using p8 except for countess

btw typing /p8 once is enough. it will apply to all future games until diablo2 is completely closed down

Players x command only affects the bosses no drop percentage (essentially thw chance to drop one more addituonal item of them).

This applies to both the regular and the the quest drop, but the chanes vary:

Andariel (quest):
at \players 1, nodrop = 19/41
at \players 3, nodrop = 6/28
at \players 5, nodrop = 2/24
at \players 7, nodrop = 1/23.

Andariel:
at \players 1, nodrop = 19/67
at \players 3, nodrop = 4/52
at \players 5, nodrop = 1/49

If you just melt andy go players 7, if you cant kill her in ~5 secs players 3 or 5 are solid options. If you need more than 15 secs, id just go p1.
