Just curious to hear some opinions on this fairly non-traditional light sorc build
Helm- Perf griffins(-5,5 facet)
Shield- Perf spirit Mon
Weapon- perfect lightning eschutas(-5,5 facet)
Armor- Fort AP(for FCR, dmg taken to mana, allres, general survivability. 15 chilling armor on struck makes it so I don’t need to spend anything in the cold tree for armor)
Ammy- 3light skill/10fcr
Rings- 2x 10fcr/Str/life/mana/allres
Belt- arachnid mesh
Boots- Perf Travs
Gloves- magefist
—achieved max lightning fcr bp, which is 194%—

In the end I have 36k lightning, max resists, max FCR, high def/high life, about 1.1k mana after bo

I suppose I’d like to know if sacrificing +skill gear(like soj’s, CoH, etc) for max FCR(fort, fcr rings) is even worth it. I try to blast through MF runs in hell as fast as possible, though my MF is now quite low due to this build, it is killing FAST

just use Viper for forti^^
and ditch that eschutas it is imo the worst weapon for light sorc
rather use crescent moon or hoto

195 fcr is just bad as you won't cap tele bp by 5%

what exactly is "non traditional" about it, except for Forti which is "non smart" rather than non traditional ?

fort can be used on a melee caster hybrid. for example, max all fire skills, lvl 1 enchant, max light mastery. Use fort to increase tankiness/phys dmg.

The fort is the untraditional part- curious as to why it’s bad? If I replace CoH with fort, I’m sacrificing 2 skills and some resistance, 8%dr.. what else do I care about? Resistance is only an issue if you’re not equipped well. Since fort gives chilling armor, I don’t need to invest anything into the cold tree thus the +2 skills on coh is almost made up for with Fort, due to chilling armor. Plus the defense is tanky. It’s for pvm survivability not speed or flashiness. Max lightning fcr while still at a perfectly reasonable damage(30k+). Max resistance, max fcr, 2.6k hp after bo, more than enough defense, mobs drop laughably fast.. I don’t see what isn’t to like. My efficiency has gone up a noteable amount since switching from CoH to fort and increasing my fcr/def

you're comparing forti with one of the worst high rune runeword in game.
coh is absolute trash, and it's horrible pick for sorceress, so no wonder forti works for you.


saying I got a huge boost and better gameplay + numbers on my bowzon since I switched from magefists to soul drainers would be true,
but it would not make it a good choice.

if you want to use forti, make it in a fancy looking armor or str bug it, but dont use an ugly ap on a sorc
i use a forti SA and a spirit aegis on my sorc, full str bug ingame, not looking like all the other main stream build sorcs in chan and still full res and 39k dmg at 200fcr

other than style reasons there is no reason to use forti over coh or eni or viper, its just bad for a caster

232 str req just for look smh.
At this point you can go with monochrome sorc
