I am well equipped with a high grief PB, evexile, fort, resistances maxed and all... however I recently started using 2 Angelics rings and the Ammy for 22k total AR, wondering if that is just absurdly too much AR? I could pop on a raven frost, highlords and a random ring.. need advice

Use highlord, Ravenfrost and any second ring (Raven, BK, Dwarf, rare ring...).
Grief ignores target's defense, and has a useful -25% defense working on uniques or champions.
Anyhow, you must have 'cannot be frozen' (usually from Ravenfrost).

Not your question, but you could also use HoZ or Phenix, to increase your damage.

Don't really need tap unless you running ubers
Get hoz and loh, Raven, soe and a ll + ml ring and you should be gucci

i would avoid phoenix due to firestorm
