So most likely i will not run this WT, still working full time and have a young son and i am lucky if i play d2 for 2 hours per week. Some weeks not even that.

But i had an interesting idea for a WT and wondered if it had been done before:


Colour themed - only use items of specific colour on a char.

So example Green paladin :


Example of End game items :
Gaze or shako
Levitan or twitch
+2 pala sheild (green obviously)
rakescar

Blue sorc:
Nightwings
viper
Spirit CS
Ward shield


My thought was items that show on char, so other inventory items like belt etc could be any colour....

I havent seen that before as a WT. I have seen people who like to peacock their trading or muling characters in matching colours.

As a WT I dont know how good of an idea it is because you usually like to have rules that you can use throughout, instead of things that apply to end game gear or specific items.

I think it would be difficult as a mellee char because weapons of a certain colour would limit you to gemmed whites to get desired colour whilst farming, but i think it would be possible on a caster. A blue sorc could use a 3 os helm first gem a p saphire then 2 sox for mf as an exmaple of ways around colour restrictions.

just socket a gem to change color, with no other restrictions it would be easy on casters, might be challenge for melee

Yeah my thoughts, but a green sorc would be harder as less benifits for a sorc with emeralds.


a green sorc could use a Guardian angel armour but shield options limited. and green helm means shako allowed.

i guess generally as a sorc this would be easier than other chars
