This is pretty common most of the time.... But i've seen on normal and NM drops thats kick ass...

Duriel has pretty bad drops in general. But it happens with any setup on any difficulty etc.

he drops essence though right?
that and quest are the only reasons anyone would run this guy

He's notorious for it, even quest drops most of the time are a joke.

Best thing I ever got from him was a Jalal's, on a druid playthrough

on bnet u can quest bug him.
Let other player do the quest for u meanwhile u w8 in staff room. Once u get message "explore the tomb" u can enter(cause he is dead) and run up to tyreal and talk to him or just take the wp. and then travel to act 3(via jerhyn and meshif) and he is questbugged.

On SP u can avoid talking to tyreal and keep questdrops. THis would ofc not let you travel to act 3 until u talk to tyreal, but u can run him for good rings/ammu like Mara and BK.
