I've heard that killing act bosses on different /playersX settings affects what chances items have to drop, but I don't know much about it. Is there any truth to this?

I've been farming NM Meph on my Javazon with 225% MF trying to get some good items for hell progression. The kill isn't much harder whether I do it on players 1, 3, 5 or 7.

Would you recommend doing it on a higher setting?

Put item you wanna find in criteria and see what's giving you better drop odds

Yeah, Meph's drop rates will increase at /p3, 5 and 7. Not by a huge amount, but if you can still do a fast run whilst at 7, I'd go for it :)

Iirc, drop rates are the same for 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8. They thing that changes between those is the amount of life the monsters have which is why people farm bosses on p3 for a slight increase in drop rates and much faster kills bc the boss has much lower hp and it here is no benefit to kill on p4 bc it takes slightly longer.

Chance of nodrop decreases. For bosses its 0% on p5-p8.
P3 is pretty low hp and has just a small chance of nodrop, thats why ppl prefer it over p5, which are the 2 best settings for boss farming.
I prefer p5 if killspeed is enough bc 0%...
