im wondering about the following and looking for some opinions, thanks in advance:

Diablo 2 softcore europe ladder hell:

-95% bot teammf diabaalruns
-4% tradegames where people are mostly afk or extremly over/underpricing items
-1% nobot-notrade games like "act 1 hell" that end up in "rush + all quests" by a level 95+ char using maphack, game clear in 5-8 min, the rushed person only stays in town and takes wps.

Why does nobody actually play the game? I was looking to play pvm for fun in hell now that i geared my barb, but in 3-4 hours of searching i didnt come to play more than 5 minutes in a normal way with others. Its sad because hell is the highest and most challenging difficulty where teamplay and high player numbers become actually fun and challenging.

Why is it impossible to make people join legit baalwalks/telebaals? The penalty being carried by a high level character (bot) is that high, its not worth the time and not fun. Its so much more fun and even way more efficient doing without high level carry.

Same as for normal, nobody would ever join legit baalruns. I clearly cant understand because 1 legit baalrun is worth the exp of 4 botbaalruns. There are often games being 6-8 players full, but only the botruns. I offered lots of people to telerush with 65 enigma hammerdin 300% faster than a bot does not having exp penalty several times, nobody had interest, 0 reaction, only leech botbaal.

I really wonder what people do with their characters after norm-nightmare-hell have been cleared with all important side quests in 30-40 min. Where is the point to clear the game that fast? Why is there no reason to just play some legit in hell? Are people only heading for setting up next char in their teammf kolbot diabaalruns?

Looking for some opinions, and advice how to have fun with playing my properly geared pvm chars legit in hell with others.

ignore the bot runs and create ur own runs i usually did nobotdias and the game usually fills up Pretty quickly

I tired for a total of 6-7 hours nightmare / hell.

I made a game and was waiting for players to start runs with doing other things checking all 3-5 minutes if there are players.

In total 1 player joined for 5 minutes, he left all of a sudden in wc2 before reaching wc3.

Where is the point to gear up characters with high-end gear, so many trades for superitems @ jsp, if you dont have any option to play them at all? 100% perfect items to run scripts at 100% efficiency only?

On hardcore battlenet its almost the same. I think you just need some folks tonplay with here or some other community site like reddit.

I switched from BN to single player. Having fun so far

I've been playing Path of Diablo. It's awesome, has a strict no-botting / no cheating policy. There was recently a ladder reset so it's very active right now

How active? How many games on hell monthnor two after reset?

I'm not sure how to get those numbers... lots though! The ladder is about one month old right now, and there is plenty of activity

POD is active but OP will encounter the same crowd of issues. Yes there are no bots, but as a community, it’s lost any charm d2 had and there’s absolutely nothing to drive the economy like pvp. What you end up with is an active player base of 2000 people that mostly spend their time solo mfing just to wildly overprice their shit on a very stale, very saturated market. Hardcore is all but dead only a few weeks after ladder reset if that tells you anything about the player base.

I recommend posting a thread on PVM Section like this and list your location, play time commitments, and goals for a group run. Hell, you could even screen shot your run and take us on your journey
