Hey hey guys, so I'm working on a frenzy barb at the moment. I just started A2 NM and both my merc and myself are getting pwned.

Raw Skills :

Equip:

Just made a Lore, stealth obviously, found sanders and then my rings/amu have double res, weaping junk gloves and a malice flail and just made holy thunder in a 4OS scepter I found while trying to farm an io off NM countess.

I think I need to make Black & Honor (+ find bases) but other than that I really have no direction, I've never made a frenzy barb (will eventually be a pit zerker) so I'm just wondeirng what you guys would recommend, should I go back to meph and farm up some sigons to boost my def or what would give me some love? In NM all my res are above 30, I still feel like I take an intense amount of damage.

I think it's an attack / ar problem which is where I'm looking for help I think
and I have been running meph presently He has dropped me literally no other unique other than griswolds edge probbaly 10 times now, so insane.

See if you can do NM Andy, a lot of upgrades can drop!

It's normal, you are level 37 or so in NM act 2 dude.
get some levels, 50-55 and then use the skills to upgrade BO.

Ok, yeah I didn't think I was that under leveled but guess I am.

So BO is more important than Frenzy?

You’re right about the ar/dmg problem. NM will be a shitty crawl unless you farm. A good solution now is angelic ring/ammy and eventually butcher’s pupil and head striker from NM Andy. Stat allocation can help but you might not do yourself any long term favors if you pump dex

Consider getting dual spirit for BO. Hopefully other JSP members can give better insight, best of luck with your play through

BO is much more important than mace mastery. should pump it to at least slvl 10 before you dump points into your pure damage abilities.
will need to farm. if a2 is a crawl and terrible, try to go back to nm andy. she has a lot of nice stuff.

butchers/headstrikers
angelic ring/ammy
lore/rockstopper
smoke
string of ears
dual spirit for easy BO swap

then you can run nm meph for gores/raven/LoH?

Get angelic ring + amulet that will fix your ar problem

thanks for the tips guys, currently farming meph p1/pindle p8 same game to get to level 45 then I'll transition to NM andy and get some upgrades. Haven't played a melee in so long, forgot how much extra babying they need. xD

Use a respec and max frenzy/bo ,then put points into masteries for crit. If you're staying maces, i like to gamble war hammers or craft some until i grey one with over 100% ed , then upgrade it to nightmare qaulity. Pair it with a flail type weapon like steel or black. Weapon side glitch, aka WSG , (fast weapon over boot side, slow weapon over glove side. Re-equip slow weapon on new games or after switching to Bo sticks and back) benefits based on the difference between base weapon speeds iirc. So a flail/war hammer combo is what i usually do until you can get ias gloves, armor, amulets.
