Welcome to my 2nd WT! I decided to tackle Classic Diablo 2 on Hardcore. Hopefully I'll show that that Classic D2 can be fun and presents nice challenge.

Rules:

• P8 all time except MFing
  
• No mods, no pluggy, nothing
  
• Hardcore
  
• Classic Diablo
  

Goal:

• Beat hell mode using cold sorc - if not possible respec to meteorb
  
• Check for how long fire sorc is viable
  

Going to start as fire sorc, but when things get tough I'll respec to frozen orb. FOrb should let me invest enough points in skills like es, tk so I can stay safe and also teleport to help me with mana sustain remember - no insight here

Aiming for Iratha set + shard + twitchthroe for mid game - gonna abuse andy and meph on nightmare

Why is a non-expansion character considered classic? That's not classic at all. A true classic walk would be playing the original version of the game from 2000. The differences between the two are like night and day.

Playing non expansion characters is called "Classic D2". The thing you desribed I would call "orginal d2" or something like that.

Wondering how it is possible to get 1.00 D2. Got some dusty old cds somewhere. Would it count as "original" in your book?
