what merc and what weapon?
atm i have act2 merc (defensive) with crescent moon polearm (was cheap, it has chance for static field, chain lightning, but.. means nothing)
infy -> worthless, since psnres is the same. however cb is good at bosses
reaper -> i wanna use lower res curse, so nn
botd -> well, safe option because of ll, ias
insight -> atm using DW (12 maek), so nn mana- maybe with the 3 psn nova white, it can be usefull

or act 3 merc? and what eq for act3 merc?

i dont use summons. but ofc it is better than nothing (1 to revive means 8-10 summon). waiting more opinions

Use summons. Novamancer has plenty of spare skillpoints

This. Even if you don’t summon skeles, definitely use revive. Meat shields are op and can help a little. Especially urdars or whatever. CE stacks with LR and conviction because it’s 50/50 fire damage/phys damage.

you're right to not use skels or vives, summoning them is a waste of time
you can use an iron golem to give your merc fana
the point of the merc is to help with bosses, so you need him to lands crushing blows. So infy t/gt for cb and chance to hit, or hone sundan

Infi + AD for ce, there is no better merc even if u use no skels, ce benefits well from infi and there is no better option than infi.

eth doom cryptic axe with might merc to help your golem, infinity lol u dont need that crap quite clear they've never played a novamancer by level 84 with top gear you do 16k nova psn dmg over 2 secs with max low resis you rape chars barbs that think they gods die so fast the psn dmg with low resis they cant heal fast enough they just die

Doom -> less chance for corpse explosion (at psn immunes)
