I just installed my 1.00 and cannot play hardcore. If I remember correctly you have to beat the game before you unlock it. Is there any way around this?

There was one suggestion that said something about throwing a text document on my computer with allow hardcore and some other gibberish but it didn’t work.

Is it your intention to play the game on version 1.00?

Otherwise I know that eventually they finally patched the game to allow players to make hardcore characters without having to beat soft core on normal first anymore, but you’d have to look up which patch that was, I don’t remember.

I’d rather not have to do this on soft core.

Beating softcore wouldnt take to long if u could just hero edit your character. (not sure if its possible in that patch or not tho)

Also not sure if it’s possible in that version, but you could try adding -act4 in the same place you would usually add -w for windows mode. Then create a character and it should start in A4 at level 20 something with all stats and skills ready to allocate as you wish. No gear though obviously. I dunno, I never even used that before except a long time ago just to see if it really works
