Is it typical for the damage on dual dream to show up in red? Is that because of the enchant? Thank you very much.

Also is it stupid that I am using a act 1 merc with faith bow for fanaticism? I just PVM so i assume it doesn't matter much or does it?

I wouldn't feel stupid for using an act 1 mercenary with faith. You mentioned you are new so there is nothing to feel stupid about. You are still learning. If you can, use an act 2 mercenary with infinity. The conviction aura reduces enemy resistances + defense. Of course the resist reduction is nice, but the defense reduction is extremely nice which gives your character a better chance to land hits.

8p is different

Infinity multiplies your damage by like 3x against a ton of stuff and breaks most immunities. Fanaticism doesn’t come close.
