1. im aware that off-weapon IAS(eg. gloves) does not contribute to the speed of druid's attacks in werewolf or werebear form(or they gain negligible amounts) -correct me if i'm wrong.
but i am unsure of auras. in the scenario he is allied with a paladin, would he benefit from the speed boost of fanaticism? fully? partially?

2. untwinked(but in a group with melee buffs), which would be more effective and/or easiest(like for a relative beginner player, softcore) for a run through between specifically fury druid and maul druid?(ignoring the benefit of shockwave).

3. as a Maul druid, what kind of weapons would be the most simple yet effective on a run through?(softcore, assuming no extra grinding time for optimal speed/dmg weapons). i know its pretty easy to rock 2H axes/mauls/polearms for fury, but not sure about maul.

basically i'm assembling an all melee/physical team that buff each other, and due to my lack of exp with bear druids i was unsure which would be the better choice

any knowledge is appreciated

You are correct on everything.

Fanat will give you ias.

Feel free to test it with hero editor. Make an item with fanat, put on merc. Attack and see how fast it is. Take item off merc and try again once the aura has dissipated.

Fury is alot better than maul.

Bear has slower attack frames than wolf also (considering werewolf gives added ias by skill)

Perks of bear
-extra life
-shockwave ability
