I have been collecting screenshots and intend on making a thread for my first ever single player Zealer. Started him after dying on my last 3 HC single player walkthroughs simply because I wasn't patient.

So my pally is now level 78, named... Patience.

Anyways, I am having trouble going further in A1 Hell. I planned on farming countess but after 4 or 5 runs, but it seems pretty risky still. I had at least 3 close calls. I also tried a Pit run and that seemed to be worse. Here are my current stats...

12k Defense with Merc Defiance Aura

I've had some luck with a few items but still feel pretty weak. I'm using...

Guillaume's Face (probably my luckiest drop)
Duress Dusk Shroud
Butcher's Pupil (Plan on upping this asap, Cleaver---> Small Crescent)
Atma's Scarab
Rhyme Aerin shield in a base with 38 all res (63 all res), still don't want to give up the Cannot be Frozen from this.
String of Ears 14% DR
20 ias 10% CB crafted gloves... (really lucky after only 7 or 8 rolls)
Cathan's Ring
Crafted Blood ring
Few different pairs of boots depending on situation. I have a tri-res, an mf pair, and a sander's.

I have enough CB to kill just about anything.... and atma's amp will let me kill physical immunes. But i'm taking just way too much damage. I feel like the only way I'm gonna get any further is if I go back and farm for a Shaftstop.

What should I do next to progress somewhat safely?

In fact you absolutely need more %LL.
More life and 75%block

Try to craft an amulet with %chance to block with life
And be patient I have worst stuff on my barb wich is farming act 3 hell.
And anyway you will never OS a mob have to run slowely. Try to get Andy

I have a Aldur's Rythm Jagged Star (2 Soc :/) in my stash.... the damage is lower but it has more LL, I guess i can go back to using that instead. I shealed it and put a good rare jewel in there. Maybe I'll hel out those two and put a shael + amn in there.... that'd be 17% LL there with 50% IAS.

lawbringer would be a huge upgrade. would also look into getting treachery for fade proc and more ias.

just gain some levels. p8 pits will always be risky. it's good exp though, so you should hit lvl 84ish pretty fast. just s&e if you see amp/fanat archers

Hmmm, okay, I'll consider making a Lawbringer.... thanks for the tip. I was thinking my next runeword weapon was going to be a Kingslayer or Passion. I was worried Lawbringer was going to be too slow... it doesn't have any IAS...

Life tap charged wand and maybe try holy freeze merc

treachery gives 45 ias which is huge. if you can find a 3os pb for lawbringer, that will be huge as well
