Been running trist to lvl up because I'm still stuck with plain Javas lol. Relying on Merc with a Ruby'd bow to do damage right now. So far found Nokozan Ammy and a pair of Hotspurs. LC is a lighting dmg charm, need all the damage I can get right now.

Edit: Now at level 12 I have 1 point into the Java and Passive skills, saving what skill points I have until I can manage to create a gemmed bow or rw then switch to bow. This zon will have to be a hybrid because of immunes later in the game and equipment restrictions.

I picked Amazon for a reason, has the skills to be able to work around lightning immunes in hell late game. But it is going to be very hard when it comes to weapons to get to that point which is why I must go bow/java. I have been finding plenty of gems and a few runes so far. But no bows at all to make a gemmed one , as for my plain javas.. they do alright with the java skills I just need any stash right now to carry more mana pots lol. Found this, which would be nice for the throw skills, but can't use rares Also found angelics ring, an ammy to match it would be nice... please?



Merc died and provided a good distraction so I could throw javas against the Smith, still no love on any meaningful drops. Still mostly naked. Can't use rares but I can complete the quest and will save imbue for rolling lld gear later.

Im confused. So your parameters are that you can only use unique items, set items and runewords? And not use any cool magic/rare/crafted items? So you can use all of the easily acquired uniques/runewords, but not use the impossibly hard to find items that are 10000% cooler? Not to be a dick but I just dont get that parameter.

Basically yes I'm restricted to Set items/ Uniques/ Gemmed-Runeword items. Notice how my zon is naked except the starting javelins and couple items I've found so far. I hadn't thought of crafting to be honest, like I said I havnt played in almost 3 years. Obviously it would be easier and have access to better gear throughout the whole run if I could use rares/magics. And sure it will be easier in norm, but come nm and especially hell I will have a hard time getting the right gear especially weapons to be able to solo everything. It would be really just luck if I was able to find all the top end unique and then even harder to find the HRs and Bases needed for the real top end stuff. I also picked Amazon because its harder than casters that just need insight basically or a summon nec that uses CE and has an army. Maybe this will help you understand how I decided to choose this, like I said this is for fun and something I always do when starting back up... walkthrough with my first char. As you can see my zon is basically naked right now, and how I build my skills will be dependent on what I find. I understand this is a unorthodox approach for restrictions and overall, I would be moving a lot faster if I could use rares or magic gear now but I'm still stuck with starting Javs lol.


Thanks for your input, like I mentioned this is my first real WT documented. And literally my only char I have so far, 3 years since I last played. This is for fun, the awesome rare/magic gear I do find will be saved for other chars or trades. My focus here is to push through hell without the luxury of being able to use those lovely magic/rare pieces of equipment. I think I will allow myself to wear craftables, you're thoughts? I'm just getting started I'm still in Act 1 and gearless still lol. The gear restriction was just to make things a little more difficult and interesting. Don't think you were being a dick either, I understand these aren't normal parameters.

Socket bow can be bought at charsi or gheed.
Not so sure what ur rules were with that concept.
But 1,2,&3 socket bows available



Even if u die, it doesn't mean u can't keep track in this thread afterwards. No one is forced to keep reading it, just don't lie about it and the usual people from this subforum will still read it no matter how many times u die or don't follow everyone else's "standards"

Good advice, and will do when needed. Thanks for the input, again this was kind of an experiment on a walkthrough I do anyways. I'm still shaking off the cobwebs and trying to remember the old recipes for everything. I'll end up having to look them up and refresh my memory. So far a Ruby gemmed bow on merc and my java skills have gotten me by no problem but its still real early. Appreciate the feedback people, thanks again. Some of you might not get it, I just enjoy doing the old school walkthrough method when starting fresh and I will need a pvm char to do runs and search for those rare bases and items. I mostly do PVP but need at least a chaos runner. Once this is finish I can respec straight java and get infinity and all the top notch gear. About to get back to the grind now
