lmk opinions on who is better at chaos/baal runs and pit runs

Depends on your budget and skill set of course. Also speed is a big factor, and if going solo.

Hammer- Durable, relatively cheap, consistent, less flexibility in gear

Light Sorc - Soft, expensive, by far the fastest if you choose to hit that final break, still can run into some pesky immunes so Merc needs to be a stud

Necro - Have a few routes to go, CE based with bone/summon to create corpses, versatile on gear and skills, speed depends on skills/gear, probably most fun

Other chars that can do the job too, Hammer and Sorc are the go to casters for those and pit runs. Chaos/Baal runs you can look into javazon/ele druid and other more fun builds. But if you just want a PVM that can solo no problem the Pally or Sorc are your top 2 choices.

Just my opinion, haven't played in a couple years but I got over a decade into this game and not much has changed lol...

Trapsin is faster.

With necro you'd have to summon at start of every game wich would take too long.

in p1, poison nec is much better than trapsin for cs. poison nova oneshots

Summon is garbage, Fishy is easily the quickest clearing Necro spec until you get a dweb. Literally all a fishy needs is an obedience merc and it's GG. With good gear it can run hell cows in less than 2 minutes which includes getting the leg.

Kick/Trap sin is more all-around, Ubers included.

Summoner is ok and can Uber, but in the time U have your army summoned, K/trap sin is killing diablo already.

IMO traps once you have infinity.
