First time playing single player and I am using the plugy mod. I have been marching through the game on my first and only char my Javazon. Just killed baal in nm and on my way to him i ran into some light immune and it took forever to kill them. I tried to respec and put more points into plague jav but that didn't seem to do much dmg at all. Going into hell I know im going to be screwed with all the light immunes. Anyways my question is what is my best bet here? Farm nm until i get a strong merc who can kill the light immunes for me? Respec into something else? I am a long long ways away from making infinity.
Currently level 75.

Any tips would be appreciated.

This is your best shot imo, or kite/run ahead of the mobs

I've seen some people buy a nec wand with lower resist charges. It might be painstaking and expensive, but it's one route

act 3 hell is going to be especially difficult as EVERYTHING has poison/light immune lol. and im guessing you use a valk so your plague jav damage is going to awful to begin with.

your best option is what 90% of wts have to do: let the merc kill everything

which nobody likes to admit

but it's the truth

you can (and should) buy a wand with charges of lower resist curse, but it won't break all immunities
a maxed valk can clear all content but it's not very fast
using treachery, you can get lvl15 venom, which has a powerful interaction with plague javelin, basically adding venom's dps to plague's for the full duration of plague

I have and will be farming nm andy, diablo and baal until i get a strong merc. Currently am stuck with a a1 merc using goldstrike arch bow until i find a decent wep for a a2 merc. Also will be keeping an eye out for a nec wand with lower resist charges i assume the best place to find one is the shop? The treachery build is interesting but would give up my armor Peace with its +2 skills.

If a build is so shit that your merc is better than you then it's probably not a very viable solo build

I don't mind builds where a merc tanks but I can't stand playing builds that relies on the merc's damage outside of immunes

I saw on YouTube a guy used cold arrow to freeze the monsters. I think it could be useful, at least to help your merc on crowd control.

My merc and maxed valk got me all the way through Hell Chaos on my javazon.

I also found an eth ghost spear I think that I would put on for light immune packs. It did some ok physical damage with jab.

Iirc my merc had obidience, treachery, Tals mask or CoT.

I tried the lower resist wand and it didn’t work well for me.

Act 2 merc with either holy freeze or might, with ethereal partizan insight or obedience, and help him clear light immunes with either high dmg weapon with jab, or some bow skill with a bow on switch. Runes for either of those merc weapons can be easily acquired from either nm or hell cuntess.
