You can go full Vita build, because Archon needs only 18 STR!!
Another options - Glorious Axe, Grand Poleaxe, Ogre maul.
All reaches 5 frame attack.
Ogre maul should be the most damaging from them, because of 110% STR bonus.
And Thunder maul is 6 frame, so i don't count it.
Also Archon has the best Min damage (638-762) in game, next is Ogre Maul (592-818).
I have used both of them and Archon is just lovely!!

And BoTD is not a shit. It's a very good weapon, one of the best Shifter weapons. Only highest rolled eTomb Reaver could overcome BoTD. I make some math for perf BoTd Archon and perf Tomby (15/40x2, ZoD), and eTomb is just about 10% more damaging and thats only if we factoring speed - 4 frame vs 5 - and speed not always wins, because it depends on mob life, map and other things. if Mob die in 1-2 hits, you can't really notice difference 4 frame vs 5.
But for sure on act bosses eTomb works better!
Average damage on eTomb - 630, while on Archon - 700... And perf Ebotd is much-much cheaper than 3 soc eth 27x% ED Tomb.
As to Madscientist calculation - it's a little bit tricky.
Ribcracker (rjof) for sure sucks vs eBoTD: 447 average dam vs 700.
And higher CB only matters if you have little DS and CB. Thats why in Madscietist's calculation Ribby wins.
He didn't account high level of DS, like 50% and more.
With my build i have 65% DS and 50% CB, so 50% more CB is nothing, raw damage is far-far better.
