What's the best way not to get completely wrecked by souls?

I'm currently on a WT w/ a players 8 lvl63 HC Skellies/CE necro. Going through A4 NM right now and I'm fine taking some of the lightning hits from souls - but I can see myself getting melted on Hell w/ this guy.

I threw a point in Dim Vision as an idea, and it kind of works but I'd probably need to either dump more points in or get more +skills items before I can make I can match their off-screen shots. I will have some liberty with where I allocate my points in this build, as I've maxed RS, SM, +1 in all summons besides fire golem. Almost done maxing corpse explosion, and I have 1 point in Amp, weaken, terror, decrep, and dim vision. Will attract work?

Obviously I know getting some light sorb or just buffing light res as much as possible is a must - but what other things can I do to prepare for hell souls?

Yeah Dim Vision works great against those feckers. If you wanna be extra safe you could slap on a Whisp and Tgods.

And yeah SP - I was thinking about posting the wt of this guy here too - does anyone ever start late into a journey? I'm sure you guys would like to see my scrappy lvl 63 necro. I'm playing HC 8 player during all progression, no plugy, no ext stash, no ladder runewords either - straight up 1.14D vanilla. It's actually really fun to get creative when you can't just slap spirits and insights and run train through N and NM. I'll post some s/s if you guys are interested in seeing my gear and stuff.
