one of the least played and high potential builds that you never seen is a well built end-game dragon tail assassin.
thanks to the multiplicative scaling of +skills, %ed, +% fire damage, -% enemy DR and -% enemy fire resist, damages can get absolutely huge;



It can pretty comfortably be built as either a trapper hybrid or all-in on dtail, with really the only gear difference being trap vs MA skillers and only skill sacrifice being whether you max tiger strike or not. And eventually dtail gets to the point where 4 dtails in a row deals more damage than 3 TS + 1 dtail and monsters are dying in 1-2 dtails anyway, so TS might be redundant. From my testing with the build, I found a hybrid far better at general PvM than a pure trapper, though the one area where it suffers is chaos with all the fire immunes

how does it perform at low budget?

well let me put it this way
if you're hitting a random mook like an Ice Boar (25% physical, 33% fire resist) with a 167 strength lacerator/ma skiller build + might merc listed above which is +25 skills, ~470% gear ed, +10% fire damage, -123% resist, -100% DR. That winds up about 23k damage uncharged / 140k charged (36k / 220k with 550 strength).

now lets say your inventory was a lacerator, andy visage (facet), ormus (facet), stormshield (facet), 3/20 gloves, maras, string, dwarf, raven, shadow dancers and 8x MA skillers + torch (no anni/cta) + insight might merc.
which is +18 skills, ~30% gear ed, +30% fire damage, -30% resist, -100% DR. At 167 strength that winds up about 8k uncharged / 42k charged

looks interesting, but your hero edited gear is not exactly "new ladder" easily accessible.

wearing full sigons set, griswold's edge, 2 cathans rings and a +34 life amulet of the mammoth and 2 large charms with +stamina, you'd deal about 0 damage while you're dead
